James B. Fine
Dr. James Bruce Fine has been a full-time faculty member at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City for over 30 years. He has held a variety of academic and administrative roles including program director for Postgraduate Periodontology and academic dean for both predoctoral and postgraduate education. Currently, Dr. Fine is the senior associate dean for Postgraduate Education and Student Affairs. He is also the chief practice director for Columbia Doctors Dentistry faculty practices.
Throughout his career he has participated in funded research, coauthored textbooks, and been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on periodontics, implantology and dental education. Previously he owned several private dental offices in New Jersey but now practices exclusively for Columbia Doctors Dentistry in Manhattan. Dr. Fine’s organized dentistry experience includes serving on various committees for the American Academy of Periodontology. He is a member of The International College of Dentists and is board-certified in both periodontics and dental implant surgery.
